What is a Split System?
A Split System is a great choice if you need to replace an older AC model with a more energy efficient one. Split systems work well with homes which don’t have a ductwork system as part of your existing heating or cooling system; let’s look at why.
Split systems are generally made of two component parts the first being a compressor which is located outside and an outlet unit which is based inside. Ductwork is not required because the system is linked by a network of pipes which connect the two units. Refrigerant gas in the copper pipes generates either cold or warmer air.
